Meet... Lisa Gawthorne

Since graduating from Sir John Moores University with a 1st Class Honors Degree in Business Studies, Lisa has enjoyed a variety of FMCG Marketing roles at major blue chip companies. Lisa has worked at Leaf UK on the Chewits and Malaco brands, Nichols Foods working with the Vimto, Sunkist & Rani brands, Burtons Foods on their sugar confectionery and branded export biscuits portfolio (Cadburys, Maryland, Wagon Wheels, Jammie Dodgers, Lyons Biscuits) and Cedar Health on their range of natural healthcare products such as Bio Strath, Gluco Tabs and of course Panda Liquorice.

After working in the Cedar Health division of the BBI Group for 5 years and becoming Head of Marketing, Lisa moved to work directly for OY Panda AB in Finland coordinating all marketing activities across the UK, US and Canada. In addition to the FMCG experience gained throughout these roles, Lisa has also been awarded the Postgraduate Diploma in Food and Grocery Industry Management run by the IGD. Outside of work Lisa competes as a long distance runner in numerous races for Liverpool Pembroke Sefton and looks after a very demanding Bengal Leopard cat! A committed Vegan and fitness fanatic, Lisa is always on the lookout for the latest healthy products.

Lisa is also author of “Gone in 60 minutes” – the health and fitness saviour that can be read in just 1 hour.

Meet... Karl Morris

After serving 6 years in the Royal Navy as a maintainer of onboard electronic weapon systems Karl went on to graduate with a 2:1 from the University of Glamorgan where he studied for a BSc degree in Surveying. Karl then embarked on an accelerated sales career and held a number of successful roles in Key Accounts & Sales Management in his own Recruitment business, at Lyreco – Europe’s leading contract stationer and at Flexicare Medical. In addition to a wealth of knowledge and experience in these roles and an unrivalled record of continued sales growth, Karl has also been awarded a Diploma with the Institute of Sales and Marketing (ISM). After four years as Global Sales Manager at BBI looking after products such as Hypobox, GlucoGel, GlucoTabs and GlucoJuice, Karl became Sales Director when the Cedar Health business joined with BBI and headed up sales on the Panda brand. A strategic business thinker, he is target driven and is committed to achieving challenging goals. Outside of work you will find him in his Kayak, on a motorbike, on a Jet Ski or running up fells and mountains for fun! One for adventure, Karl is always pushing the boundaries and he always looking for the next exciting product to shape the retail environment.

Meet... Becki Alker

Becki has been working at Bravura Foods since it started trading in 2011 and has progressed from being a Sales & Admin co-ordinator to Customer Operations Manager. Her role involves being the first point of call not only for trade customers but for direct consumers who contact the business regarding any of the brands in the Bravura Foods portfolio. Any question big or small Becki is the one who will be dedicated to getting what is needed. From stock queries and orders to general information, nothing escapes Becki’s attention to ensure all customers get 100% dedication at all times.

Her previous roles at BBI Healthcare and Cedar Health have seen her involvement with the Panda Brand extend to over 8 years & so she is able to use her vast knowledge of the business and products to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Aside from the above she is a real Northern Girl and is well known amongst our staff and customers for her outrageous laugh and her equally outrageous hair colours - when you meet her you may just need your sunglasses & earplugs!

Meet... Gemma Powell

Gemma holds the role of Business Operations Manager in the business and as part of that role she looks after the demand planning function. This involves being the first point of contact to all of the Bravura Foods suppliers; ensuring products are produced in a timely manner and to a high standard in order to satisfy the needs of all customers. Gemma liaises with the suppliers on product specific enquiries to ensure the business has all answers needed to resolve any issue that may arise.

Gemma is fairly new to the FMCG industry and boasts a successful sixteen year manufacturing background. She is keen to use her planning knowledge to ensure goods are produced and delivered to the highest standard, and also keen to learn new skills along the way.

A busy mother of two, Gemma enjoys a good challenge and in particular runs and cycles to keep fit.

Meet... Rob Morgan

Rob joined the business in November 2016 as Commercial Finance Manager, bringing with him 16 years of experience in senior financial roles gained from a number of SMEs based in manufacturing, distribution, and construction sectors as well as running his own consultancy company.

Rob also spent two years with Finsbury Food group, a £200 m+ FMCG plc whose licensed brands included Nestlé, Weight Watchers, Thorntons and Disney as well as the manufacture of the major supermarkets own branded products.

After deciding to pursue a career in accountancy at an early age Rob qualified as an accounting technician at 19. At this point he held the position of Group Accountant for a Business with interests in Business Interiors, Renewable Energy & Promotional Products.

In his spare time Rob spends a lot of time cycling and running after recently retiring from playing rugby.

Meet... Phil Dawber

Phil is the National Account Manager having previously worked at Trigon Snacks, Merrydown, Church & Dwight, Phil brings with him and extensive amount of classical FMCG key account management experience and will be responsible for the northern Grocery sector, Discounter, Convenience, Health food Wholesale and Symbol Groups. Passionate about Innovation and the end user, Phil will be developing trading & business partnerships with our existing and new customer base. In his private life he is also a keen walker and an avid rugby follower.

Meet... Quentin Sandell

Quentin is the National Account Manager for all our major retail accounts in the South of England and also is involved in our export business. Quentin has a wide range of experience within the retail sector having worked for over 20 years in Tesco and more recently at The Primal Pantry. Having extensive knowledge in the retail sector and having worked on both sides of the table, Quentin has a good understanding of the FMCG market and how retailers think, behave and operate.

As well as being a passionate foodie, outside of work and family life he
is a keen cricketer and actively involved in junior cricket within his
local community.

Meet... Lydia Cotter

Lydia joined in December 2017 and holds the role of Marketing Graduate at Bravura Foods. Whilst in University Lydia studied marketing with advertising for three years. Lydia is new to the FMCG industry however, she spent the last year of her studies devoting her dissertation to the up and coming FMCG market within the fashion industry. She is keen to use her creative flare and passion for knowledge to ensure that Bravura and the principles they represent are marketed to the highest standard based on quality market research.

In her spare time Lydia enjoys keeping fit and taking part in various physical pursuits, most recently a half marathon in Las Vegas.
